September 2000 saw his first appearance on Granada TV's" Stars in their Eyes ". After performing the ever popular 'Music to watch girls by', record company BMG and Granada included the track on the Christmas release of the "Stars in their Eyes" CD.

During his last ever U.K. tour in January, the real Andy Williams took time out of his busy schedule to meet Dave in person and congratulate him on his uncanny portrayal and soundalike voice.

In May 2001 Granada TV asked Dave to appear again as Andy Williams in a seasonal special that was screened on Christmas Day 2001. Dave Dean continues to perform the "Andy Williams Show" which is a tribute to the award winning television series featuring many of his classic hits.
