Apart from appearing with his solo show, Mel who hails from sunny Grenada, has fronted many leading soul bands, The String Beats, Souled-Out, Superbad, The Freddie Mac Extravaganza, The Classic Soul Show and Seventies chart toppers The J.A.L.N Band. Today when he is not working solo he fronts one of the hardest working Classic Soul Bands around, The Soul Survivors.
